Radiant Lumens does not install load resistors for headlight or turn signal bulbs.
ALL conventional automotive bulbs can be replaced w/LED bulbs.
HYPER FLASHING: Turn Signals
Because a(n) LED bulb uses such a low voltage to operate, newer vehicles with sophisticated computer systems can mistake the bulb for being burned out, resulting in triggering a response defined as HYPER FLASHING. HYPER FLASHING can be corrected with load resistors or relays.
LOAD RESISTORS:
To correct the issue of HYPER FLASHING, a load resistor must be run in line with the circuit of the bulb being installed. In the case of Turn Signals a compatible relay may be substituted.
Radiant Lumens does not install load resistors .
TURN SIGNAL RELAY:
New technology has allowed for the turn signal relay to be replaced with a compatible upgrade which when installed will correct the issue of Hyper Flashing.
$25 labor charge to install relay plus cost of relay.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT:
Some modern vehicles check engine light may be triggered by LED bulbs. The computer system thinks there is no bulb in the socket or the bulb in the socket is faulty. Some systems require Canbus compatible bulbs to integrate with the onboard systems. If check engine light activates after bulb service Radiant Lumens will do its best to resolve the issue; LED conversion may not be available.
All automotive bulbs can be converted to a LED (see Conventional/LED bulb replacement and installation)
LED bulbs are expensive, and the bright side of an LED bulb is their clarity/crispness and visibility.
Pricing for LED Conversion
All labor charges are increased $2/LED Bulb
